Craftacular was brilliant

I do really love the Craftaculars…….mostly because the other vendors and organisers are brilliant. Special thanks to Glitterworkshop and Ekra for again putting on a fantasticaly organised show.

The weather got pretty ropey in the afternoon, when I looked out the window at one point I was sure we were in a giant snow globe and someone had just given us a really good shake, but thankfully it didn’t deter the wonderful folk of Madison from turning up and supporting independant crafters. Anyway I thought I’d share a piccie of my booth

Craftacular

So upon seeing the piccies……..the diet has started (again) waaaaaaa . I got some fantastic cards and pins from Space Oddities and I loved that I was lucky enough to be beside Kitty Girrlz yarns‘ booth again she really is fantastic on her spinning wheel and she had some fantastic valentine yarn with kitty beads through  it which must look fantastic knitted up……..damn my lack of knitting abilities.

After the show and on the recommendations of a lovely customer we headed on over to Brasserie V for a few Belgian beers……yum, I highly reccommend you check it out if you are a fan of decent beer and the food was fantastic too.

So it was a great day, thanks to everyone

I found your site on technorati and read a few of your other posts. Keep up the good work. I just added your RSS feed to my Google News Reader. Looking forward to reading more from you.

You’re right, not everything was Valentine’s-themed, I tend to exaggerate. I think the main issue was that I didn’t really have anything I needed to buy for, and didn’t have money to just spend on something I wanted to spend on a whim. Basically, the worst frame of mind to attend a craft fair with.

I’m not sure if the totes were the Orangyporany ones, as I stupidly neglected to take note of the name/pick up a card. After a cursory look at O.P.’s site, I don’t think they were the same vendor – but I do like the ones I see online, too. Alas, I don’t have enough need for a mountain of totes (sadly).

Have you ever seen the British T.V show coupling? Steve does a 5 minute rant about how no man has ever found anything of any value in a craft shop………..it makes me laugh and sometimes it sticks in my head when I am at a craft show………that’s a terrible confession but it still makes me laugh, am I a bad person?

Orangyporangy doesn’t have all of her stuff on her website………I know this because I wanted one of her vintage fabrics totes (it had a huge rooster on it) and she didn’t have any of her bags there …..maybe she will put them up later……….fingers crossed

Your work is just amazing and I just loooove it. I used to have a store on Etsy but closed it until I can come up with a more suitable name than BevsHuggables. Your store on lov.li is one of my favorites as well. Blessings, Bev

Thanks Bev…….you just made my morning bright……..which is no mean feat in February in the Midwest ; D
What’s wrong with Bev’s huggables? I think that’s a cute name for your plushies, but let me know what you come up with to replace it.
