Cleveland RAWKS!!!!!

So I’m back from Cleveland after a completely fabulous weekend at the Bazaar Bizarre,  thank you so much for coming and shopping and being so sweet to the critters and me,  I can’t even begin to tell you how warm and fuzzy you all made me feel………but I can show you……

bazbizbooth

First of course is the always essential booth shot,  this piccie was before the show doors opened and I am glad Markie went around and took it from that side as there wasn’t a lot of opportunity to do it when the shoppers flooded in

bazbiz

and it was like that all day,  I swear the whole of Cleveland was in that building……… completely amazing

stu's new mum gary's family

floyd's new mum tommy's new mum

Lots of critters decided to call Cleveland home and squeaked out for new family, I could tell everyone was going to be very happy in Cleveland hopefully they will all be well behaved.

And now for the goodies

bazbizgoodies

I love everything I got but there was so many things I wanted it hurt……The Cleveland cards are from Oddball Press and Markie picked them to be his Christmas cards this year……which is probably going to confuse the heck out of the British recipients I can just hear them now……..Ohio?  I thought they were in Illinois?  eh?  where are they?  so anyway……..the zipper pouch with the sheepies is by oblinaknit and the feathery hair clip is by Kaki Brzytwa……..many thanks for the night out girls you were the most fun booth mates EVER!!!!!!   The little concrete acorn is by the oak leaves and they had the most beautiful booth of terrariums and whimsy that I am sure I will be scouring their etsy shop everyday for new goodies but I pounced immediately on the acorn at first sight………good job as almost everything they owned was gone in a matter of hours.

Thanks to everyone again for the love and support and Happy Holidays!!!

Wow,  what a fantastic weekend………..so many fantastic vendors and appreciate shoppers I hardly know where to begin,  how about with a piccie?

This was at the very start of day one and I am so very glad I remembered to take a piccie as a lot of my critters found lovely new homes this weekend.   I did a few awesome trades with the other vendors which of course means Markie took them away for Christmas (would someone please explain how me setting up trades and swapping my lovely critters means Markie has got me Christmas schtuff?  because it’s confusing to me but somehow seems logical in his mind…. harumph)

Anyway I fell in love with Steve Tomashek’s Miniature Menagerie booth.  Steve whittles the most amazing little critters out of teeny bits of wood and also takes whimsical pictures of them……..loved them all to bits,  so Mark got to pick out some of them (fingers crossed it’s more than one)  for me for under the tree yippppeeeeeee.

SwallowKisses booth was behind me (very exciting as she has long been an etsy favourite of mine) I got a completely cool birdy hair clip and a peony flower pin and I LOVE them.  I also got the cutest pine cone necklace from Charmaine Anthony her jewellry was so gorgeous I was drooling at her booth…….but fell in love with the little pine cone.  I also snagged the coolest felted wool scarf from SteveSews! which I did actually keep and not permit being a Christmas gift, very essential  as Sunday was the heaviest snow storm we’ve had this year which meant that the field house was more than just a wee bit nippy…….. and made our drive back to Rockford just a little bit interesting.   Weenerware was also there (another of my favourites ever since I snagged a bottle cap pin of hers from the art-o-mat  machine a few years ago) Markie won the auction for one of her fabulous bracelets (it’s so cool, wait till you see)  but guess what?  yup  not till  Christmas…………sigh.   So thank you so much Bucktown Bazaar and all the wonderful shoppers and vendors for a completely fabulous weekend in Chicago,  my head is still spinning from the support and wonderful comments I received.

Now it’s back to work as this weekend is the rather fabulous Craftacular in Madison

Woooooshh

Phew,  did you see that?  It was a red sled and it just went flying by………and as you might expect of a speeding red sled it was tons of fun.   Wanna see how my booth looked at the start of the day?

I hope you don’t mock me for my lack of mobiles, remember a few posts ago I was kinda smug about finally figuring out how to attach them to my booth?   well it turns out I didn’t figure it out after all………..sigh.

I met so many brilliant crafters and I even have a new Etsy sore to covet,  it’s called den10studio and Karyn’s artwork is simply beautiful, I love her Christmas cards and Markie loves her prints.

I may have to break down and buy them although I still really like the idea of sending out my own……I can tell that everyone on my Christmas card list is keeping their fingers crossed that I go with Karyn’s.

I also met so many wonderful holiday shoppers……meet my cutest customer of the day….everyone 1,2,3…….aawwwwwwwwwwwww

She was a big fan of my hairballs and critterclips……..look she has a hairball in her hair right now!!! How cute is that?  It was so nice of her mum to bring her by my booth to show me the hairball in place.  So yes I had a fantastic time at a highly organised show,  I even had helpers to carry my stuff into the hall in the morning it was bliss.  I hope they will have me again next year as I shall just show up anyway if they don’t,  and that could be  a little akward huh?

Just had to share this…….

Honestly how mental are cats?  and that really is a rhetorical question………..check out Kirzstie

I’m trying to get ready for the Red Sled Holiday Bazaar practicing setting up my booth and persuading the critters to get packed up (not their favourite part of shows) when Kirzstie decides the table is his new den.  His favourite place ever………and no I may not approach it……….what a pest!!!!  I guess he likes my new table cover as much as I do.

Remember tomorrow  to come see me if you are in the are in the area,  I’m in the main hall booth #38 so you cant miss me and seeing as how we are experiencing our first snow of the season today  (boo) and more expected tomorrow I’m thinking we will be there very early to not risk the roads.

I was going to write….

a short post today showing you some goodies I’ve been making this week for Anthology….(I’ve been an incredibly bad vendor this month as I’ve been focused on hoarding critters for craft shows)  but I just checked my email and discovered I got accepted for a big craft show in Chicago…………eeeeeeeek!!!!!!

So I am currently very excited with the inkling of fear starting to creep in of not having nearly enough schtuff for a 2 day show in Chicago…………waaaaaaaaaaaa I’m going to be very, very busy (times a million).

Anyway I still intend to show you the new goodies for Anthology of course.

What can be more festive at this time of year than creepy jack o’lanterns?  and needle felt ones are a lot more hygenic than the real thing (insert a disgusting personal story where I had mini pumpkins for display in my apartment a few years ago and totally forgot about them and couldn’t figure out where the smell of rotting fish was coming from nearly a month later – eeeeeeeeeewwwwwwww!!!!!)

And also these lil’ guys

Living in Rockford I guess it’s a little odd I haven’t done an homage to the humble little sock monkey before huh?   but hey that’s me I like to reinvent the wheel at all times apparently.

So that’s it for now I’m off to run around excitedly for 30 minutes then panic for 10……….then go and make schtuff from now till Nov 29th……………eeeeeeeek!!!!!!
